RISING ABOVE
What began as a design platform intended to press theoretical limits quickly evolved into a series of products that defy existing laws of conventional performance in the cable industry.
When applied as a system, Omega-X signal cables deliver a weightless coherence and thunderous authority that rise above all previous expectations for the cable category at any price. Their transformative performance is owed to advanced applications of Shunyata Research's proprietary TAPc and HARP technologies. Respectively, each technology eliminates a form of distortion left completely unaddressed in traditional cable designs.
Omega-X cables break through all performance barriers to deliver the full potential locked within the world’s most exotic music systems.
GROUNDBREAKING TECHNOLOGY
TAPc (Transverse Axial Polarizer) is a patent-pending technology that couples to the electromagnetic fields surrounding electrical or signal conductors. TAPc behaves like a polarizer, passively reducing electromagnetic distortion that presents as a type of glare or compression on sound or images.
HARP addresses current drift and audio-frequency current resonances that can occur in speaker cables, analogous to standing waves in room acoustics. Acting as a current-mode diffraction device, the HARP module disrupts these resonances, improving the system’s perceived resolution, focus, and coherence.
Shunyata Research’s proprietary Kinetic Phase Inversion Process (KPIP v2™) refines conductor and terminal metals at the atomic level. This dramatically reduces burn-in time and significantly improves sonic performance, delivering a relaxed and life-like presentation.
VTX-Ag™ conductors combine a pure silver center core with an outer concentric ring of pure copper. This geometry delivers silver’s speed, clarity, and resolution with copper’s warmth, body, dimensionality, and low-octave power.
Platinum-Plated connectors deliver exceptional fidelity and tonal purity, offering a smooth, natural presentation with enhanced resolution. Fine detail emerges effortlessly, without added edge or glare, while clarity, contrast, and dimensionality are preserved across the full dynamic range of the system.
Fluorocarbon dielectrics have unique electrical characteristics: very low dielectric absorption, high dielectric strength and exceptional heat resistance. In Shunyata Research cables it reduces the perception of dynamic compression and it improves low-level resolution and clarity.
